Council seats for the Eastern Monarchy have been filled by Thea's Noelle, and Ryo's Aishisu. Thank them for applying. Two remaining seats are currently available in the Western Monarchy. Please feel free to apply. Yesterday, we celebrated our one month anniversary at the new address. As we are still young, help with advertisements would be appreciated. However, please remember to search for our ad on previous pages of other forums. Also, a layout change will be taking place early February.

I'd firstly like to remind everyone that we have been active for several weeks now, and I had been expecting more in character threads to be taking place at this point. We have a member base of over twenty, and I am disappointed more role play has not been taking place. As a reminder, we do allow liquid time, so characters may enter up to two threads at the same time without purchasing a slot from our emporium. While everyone is, of course, busy with their lives, I urge you all to be more active IC.
Also, I am currently looking for contest ideas for those interested. I have heard from a few members that an art based contest would be entertaining, but I'd love to hear some more ideas. I'm hoping to get a contest in by the end of January or early February.
Guys, I think it's time to go on a hiatus. Maybe this summer we can try this again when I and the staffers have more time for it, but right now isn't seeming to work out. Things will have to be reworked. Perhaps the plot is too narrow, perhaps it isn't clear enough, perhaps I need to work harder on the layouts. I'm not putting the site in MM in case people want to role play, but I'm going to let things lie until further notice. I'm really sorry I couldn't have done better for the community.

community Out of character conversation. Includes sub-boards for introductions, absences, games, and graphics. Miscellaneous dialogue may go in the main board.
inner courtyard The inner courtyard of a sparsely populated castle is bordered by gray, stone blocks, and curved stairwells bound to upper flight archways. A shallow pond occupies the center of the courtyard, and a snarl of dirt paths lace the grass.
hamlet A negligible community of six wattle huts arranged in a semi circle. Two houses at the far left of the half circle are black with the residue of fire. At the focal point of the hamlet is a stone, open-windowed chapel, partially carpeted with lichen.

farm A stretch of field in the wake of the hamlet. The ground sprouts with barely in the spring and rye in the autumn, extending overs acres of fertile grassland.
sea The tide washes in clumps of seaweed and thin, translucent jellyfish. Sandbars run perpendicular to the gravelly shore freckled with debris.

grotto A composition of chapped rock eroded into arches and chasms by the sea. The grotto lies thirty feet offshore, accessible by a strip of acrid earth, it's cleaved ground hooded by unclouded water.

EASTERN MONARCHY
surrendered castle Abandoned after a the bubonic plague scourged the city, the stone walled castle lies prone, interior wholly exposed. The dark halls are vacant, the kitchens rotting, and weedy courtyard unkempt.
cathedral An abandoned but magnificent basilica, interior sprawling in disrepair. A pointed arch entry extends into an illimitable vault, walls embellished with stained glass windows.

chandler's Now vacant, an intimately small candle shop, rowed with shelves brimming of candles and containers of tallow and soap. The walls are of woven stakes, and the roof of thatching.
barricade A deserted fortification encompassing the city, stationed with towers, each entered through a stairwell at the inside of the wall. A large, agape conduit lies at the focal point of the barricade.

river A southbound river dividing the territories of the monarchies, perforated by rock. The river cuts veers away from the eastern bank, leaving astern a fetid quagmire.

woodland A knot of deciduous trees with caking bark and the spare pine tree. Grass grows flat and pale in the lacking sunlight. Brushes and mosses are impoverished and languid in the spent woodland soil.

VAGRANT TERRITORY
islet An islet where land has carved away the current, opening up a young woodland. Covered in saplings and low growing ferns, the islet floods during storms and overlooks a series of rapids further down the river.
oubliette The surviving fragment of a remote tower, this basement was formerly used to detain criminals. With the above-ground structure devastated, it it now only accessible through an unfastened grate in the oubliette's ceiling.
