BEHAVIOR & ATTITUDE.

Good conduct is essential to keep a site functioning properly. Please be respectful of others and their opinions. Be mindful of the staff. Do not spam, speak inappropriately, or be blatantly critical of others. Improper conduct will be punished severely.

LITERACY & LEVEL. The Narcomancy is a literate and advanced role play. Literacy requires users to use punctuation, capital letters, and correct grammar when necessary. We identify as an advanced level of role play, which requires users to post a minimum of two hundred words in all in character threads. If this is not within your average range, you may find it beneficial to join an intermediate role play. Users will be notified of low word counts. Threads with excessive low word count posts will be locked without notice, and those involved will be issued character suspensions.

CHARACTERS. Users are allowed two free character slots. After a user has created two characters, they must purchase any character created beyond that point (see Coins & Purchasing). Please adhere to the word minimums provided on the biography forms; they are not optional. Do not alter the biography form in any way. Please do not role play with a character whose biography has not been moved out of the “characters” board. Please do not create characters that are perfect (Mary Sues), characters with fantastical abilities, or characters with uncommon ailments (albinism, schizophrenia, blindness). Ailments must be purchased in order to maintain site wide realism.

POSTING. Do not power play (take control of another user’s character) or god-model (use a character that is invincible in battle). Threads inactive for over a month will be archived. Message a staff member to have an archived thread removed. If you are role playing with three or more users, please take turns unless a user has given you permission to skip over them. Please do not change the color of your post text unless it is within a posting table. The same character may be involved in up to two threads at once, however, you may purchase liquid time slots from our store (see Coins & Purchasing). All posts must exceed a word count of two hundred.

PLOT & SETTING. The Narcomancy’s plot requires the role play to be set in a medieval time period. Your characters’ dialogues are not required to fit the era, nor are they required to participate in the plot. All characters, however, must have a rank, as required in the character biography. Characters may move up the ranks by earning coins and purchasing a “class advancement” in our store (see below).

COINS & PURCHASING. Each in character post is rewarded with one coin. Coins may be exchanged for perks in the coin exchange. A list of stocked “items” are found in our “critical reading” board.

ACTIVITY & PARTICIPATION. User accounts will be terminated after a month of inactivity without notice. By joining, users also make a commitment to be involved with the community. There is an expectation that users should be active in both in and out of character boards, the c-box, and/or contests.
