Once upon a time, there was no war.
Once upon a time, all of the races lived in prosperity.
Once upon a time, children were not sold, women beaten, men slaughtered.
No one remembers once upon a time anymore.
Welcome then, to Velare; some call it the golden age, some call it the time of hell. The races are at war with one another; dragons, fae, elves, dwarves and man all grappling for dominion over the others. The cause of the war has long been forgotten through time, it simply is a fact of life now, you fight or you die, that's just how it is.
But not any more. Whispers echo through out the lands, into the ears of all the races. A city, new and young, provides sanction for those that are tired of fighting. They call it 'Haven', and within this city lies the key to peace, a secret that was long held by the dragon kind.
Some call it bonding, some call it impression, others aren't sure what to call it. What they do know is that the bonding binds a dragon and it's rider, down to the shreds of both their very souls. These riders are the peace keepers, those that fight for no man but a freed man. They live in Haven city, planning to bring unity to the races...But not all are happy of this change in the world...
