Nearly a century after the end of the Global Disarmament War, society has yet to recover. Fragmented remnants of humanity struggle to rebuild 'what once was' in the face of fierce climate change, mutated threats, emerging technology, religion and the aftermath of nuclear war. On one side of the conflict is Providence, a growing city built on the ruins of Los Angeles ruled by a dystopian noble class; On the other is Ain Soph Aur, a rebel faction waging guerrilla warfare against the city in their fight for a freer society. In between, mercenary bands, outlaws, and civilians struggle to make a living in a barren and dangerous wasteland, where all sides share the same goal: Survival.
